Inspired by Truth

“Inspired by true events,” the daunting-yet-stereotypical voice over said in the trailer for new movie, “Runner, Runner.”

Started me thinking, huh. Isn’t everything, fiction or otherwise, inspired by something factual? Even J.R. Tolkien concocted “Lord of the Rings” because his son was in need of a bedtime story with morals and ethics.

Same with “Jack and Abigail.” Novel here also inspired by true events. Buy it and read it and get back to me and I promise to elaborate on the truth. And without annoying voice overs.

I like to think of myself as a magnifying glass--there are important moments of which to take notice and sometimes celebrate. Or just recognize.
